Rustic DIY Coffee Bean Candle Centerpiece ~ Create a fragrant rustic looking candle centerpiece in minutes with whole coffee beans and scented candles.
Do you like the aroma of coffee? I have to admit it is one of my favourite fragrances. I love my daily two cups of coffee for both the flavour and the smell. I remember when I was pregnant with both of my daughters I refrained from drinking caffeinated coffee the entire nine months. But whenever I missed enjoying a cup of coffee I would pour a cup and just hold the warm liquid in my hands so I could take in the lovely coffee aroma.
I also love the deep rich brown colour of fresh whole coffee beans. They remind me of rustic outdoor things like cowboys, cabins and campfires.
Do you like scented candles? They too add a lovely fragrance to a room. My favourite fragrances for the kitchen are the ones that smell like fall! I love anything vanilla. I also love pumpkin spice and aromas that remind me of the outdoors.
Any of these candle fragrances paired with the aroma of whole coffee beans make a lovely…
Rustic DIY Coffee Bean Candle Centerpiece
Rectangle or square shaped flat ceramic serving dish with about one inch sides: I bought mine inexpensively in the home décor section at a retail store that mostly sells pharmaceuticals but also sells all kinds of other eclectic stuff. It was the perfect shape and colour for creating a Rustic DIY Coffee Bean Candle Centerpiece.
Whole coffee beans: Any flavour will work. I bought a big bag of hazelnut flavoured coffee beans at Costco.
Fragrant Candles: This time I used two square shaped candles purchased at Home Sense in Canada and known as Home Goods in the United States. I loved the three coloured layered look and each layer is a different fragrance. They are Vanilla Sugar, Pumpkin Harvest and Velvet Woods. I have previously used three smaller candles with just one colour and fragrance that worked out well too!
Pour whole coffee beans into a clean dry ceramic serving dish. Pour enough of the coffee beans to cover the bottom of the dish.
Insert candles so they rest flat on the bottom of the dish. You may have to move some of the beans around the candles. I prefer the candles to rest on the dish rather than the coffee beans for safety reasons.
Final Comments: Home décor ideas do not have to be complicated. They can take minutes to prepare and look fabulous. Right now I have my Rustic DIY Coffee Bean Candle Centerpiece displayed on the kitchen table. It is perfect for the chilly fall days of November!
The coffee beans will lose their fragrance over time. When that happens it is really easy to add a fresh new batch!
