My Very Organized Linen Closet Shelf ~ Are you looking for ways to maximize the space on a linen closet shelf using plastic storage drawers and containers? In my next few posts I thought I would share how I organize my linen closet starting with My Very Organized Linen Closet Shelf.
In every house I have lived in, I seem to have the most narrow and skinniest linen closet that one can have. When I look in women’s or home décor magazines and even on Pinterest, I drool over the highly organized and spacious linen closets that seem to exist… but not in my life experience.
The linen closet in my home also was the last space that I got around to organizing. I have to admit that I tried to make do with the storage containers I had and kind of threw things in whatever onto whatever shelf and closed the door so no one could see the disorganized mess.
The problem was that when a family member or myself needed to find something it was a bit of a hassle locating anything and another hassle trying to put things back because there was no designated space.
I don’t have any before photos because trust me, it was disorganized and dysfunctional. I hope you enjoy the after photos!
Whenever I am in a store like Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire or Home Depot I always beeline for the organizing/storage aisle just for some inspiration and to see what cool products are available in order to satisfy my craving for being perpetually organized.
When I was in Canadian Tire recently I came across plastic storage containers that totally inspired me. They were just the perfect size to fit in my super narrow closet and even better; they were on sale!
This Is My Very Organized Linen Closet Shelf And How To Create Your Own…
I bought three 2-drawer Gracious Living units and three KIS Omni Storage bins to fit on top for a total of $30.00. That opened up nine units of designated storage spaces and it made it a lot more accessible and so much easier to find whatever we were looking for! Now that’s organized!
- Hand Sanitizers
(I think I covered almost every body part except for the ears!)
I can’t believe how I was able to make this previously dysfunctional storage space so much more functional with some practical and inexpensive storage.
So that’s my very organized linen closet shelf. Please note that this was just one shelf! In my next posts I will share what I did with the rest of the closet because of course, I was highly motivated to finish the job! Stay tuned to see how the extra sheets for the upstairs bedrooms are folded into nice neat packages that fit quite nicely and prettily in this very narrow linen closet.
See you next time,
