A Free App That Showcases Quality Free Apps ~ Are you interested in a Free App That Showcases Quality Free Apps? The app Apps Gone Free does that for you.
Out of curiosity I did a Google Search to find out how many apps there were available. On this site it shows that in July 2008 there were 800 apps and as of September 2012 there are approximately 700,000 (250,000 exclusive to iPad). That’s a lot of apps!
I am always on the hunt for quality apps to help with not only my organizing but also my many other interests. The problem becomes finding the time to navigate through the thousands of apps and trying to decide which ones to purchase and download on my iPhone and iPad. I have previously purchased and downloaded a variety of apps, some of which I am quite happy with and others that I don’t even use at all. Some of these apps were free but there were several that had a cost and were quite disappointing after I made the purchase. It’s too bad there is not a ‘try before you buy option’.
However, I did come across the next best thing that I wanted to share with you! A friend of mine showed me the app Apps Gone Free (Best Daily Top App Deals). This free app posts about a dozen quality apps everyday that are free for about a 24 hour time period. The apps range in topic and category. Many are games, there are usually a couple related to photography, some on organizing and lots of other interesting choices. It is promoted as…
“Find great apps without spending a dime! Get high quality paid apps for free each day. Unlike other apps, we offer no paid listings – these are expert-picked top-ranked apps, for FREE!”
… and I have to admit I have discovered quite a few quality apps that I have downloaded and yes, they were free!
What I also really like is that everyday I am sent an email message telling me that the free apps for the day are now available to view. I then check out the app, quickly scroll through to view what is available and if I see something that catches my interest, I just click on the icon, which then shows me more information about the app. If I want to download it, I just click on ‘Get it in the App Store’ and I am taken directly there. It probably all takes under a minute.
You will notice that some of the apps are designed solely for the iPhone or the iPad and some of the apps are universal and are designed for both types of devices. The original cost of the app is also provided which is also really nice to know.
I wanted to pass this app along to you because it is both a timesaver and a budget friendly option. It is a really great way to get quality apps quickly and easily for free!
One final thing… this is not a paid promotion. I just like to pass on great ideas that help simplify our busy lives.
Here is another app I like to use too:
