My Thankfulness Song Playlist ~ I am really excited to share with you My Thankfulness Song Playlist. I created it in iTunes to accompany my “thankfulness themed photo albums” that I created in iPhoto. This may sound a little confusing but keep reading so it makes sense. It is a lot of fun to do, very doable and the end result is a pretty special collection of photographs and songs for a pretty special theme!
In my last blog titled Creating a Thankfulness Photo Album I shared how I put together a “Thankfulness” photo album in iPhoto to organize my photographs in different themes and showcase them through our Apple TV. It is really easy to do and the final result is a collection of photographs that are streamed in a collage format through the TV! Here I write about Why I Love My Apple TV that explains how it works.
It becomes even more special to have carefully selected songs to accompany the photographs in the thankfulness photo album as they play through the Apple TV. The problem became what songs fit in the theme of thankfulness?
So I went on hunt looking for songs that fit the theme of thankfulness. There are actually a lot of pretty special selections that fit under this theme as well as the related themes of appreciation, home, gratefulness, blessings and memories. I love music from all kinds of genres so the playlist has a little bit of country, pop and easy listening.
Although, I love each one of these songs and play them often, I do have some favourites. My personal ones are ‘Thank You’ by Johnny Reid who is a Scottish born Canadian raised musician. I get chills every time I play this beautiful selection. My other favourite is ‘The Blessings’ by Alabama. This is another beautiful and meaningful song performed by an amazing band. Lastly, I know there are many versions of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ but my favourite version is the one performed by Jewel. Her voice is so pure and she does a stunning job with this brilliant classic song.
Here is the complete list I compiled for the theme thankfulness:
I bought most these songs through iTunes and we also had quite a few of them from the CD collection that we have purchased and accumulated over the years.
It is so much fun to organize these songs into different themed playlists and play them for different moods, celebrations, events and activities.
Hope this helps and inspires you to create a song playlist for some pretty special themes… thankfulness, appreciation, home, gratefulness, blessings and memories.
